Built on the Proven BRX02 Platform

Stretching the proven BRX02 platform to an extended 385mm (15.16") wheelbase, the Defender 130 combines authentic scale realism with modern RC engineering. Every aspect of the vehicle has been engineered to capture the presence, proportions, and functional character of the full-size Defender while delivering the durability, control, and trail capability that define a premium scale crawler.

Power is delivered through the compact BCF2™ 2-Speed Transmission, allowing drivers to switch between low-speed technical crawling and higher-speed trail driving. The innovative SWD™ Selectable 2WD / 4WD Transfer Case provides additional realism and versatility, letting drivers choose between rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive on demand.

To operate the Hi-Lo gears and 2WD / 4WD mechanisms, the Defender 130 includes two all-new waterproof PYTHON™ 125Mini shift servos, providing reliable and precise operation of both the transmission and SWD™ Selectable 2WD / 4WD transfer case.

The Defender 130 rides on BRX90 PHAT™ Axles equipped with heavy-duty AR44-style helical-cut differential gears for smooth, efficient power delivery and exceptional durability. Counter-rotating rear axle gears help neutralize drivetrain torque, improving stability and reducing torque twist on technical climbs.

Complementing the drivetrain is a realistic linked suspension system, precision-machined aluminum components, a robust steel driveline, and advanced transmission technology developed specifically for demanding scale trail driving.

Purpose-Built Suspension System

The BRX02 130 features an all-new KUDU™ rear suspension system that combines separate coil springs and shock absorbers for realistic scale appearance and controlled suspension performance.

At the rear, 70mm KUDU™ shock absorbers work alongside separate coil springs, replicating the suspension layout found on many full-size vehicles. Both medium and hard spring sets are included, allowing builders to fine-tune the suspension for their preferred driving style and terrain.

Up front, 90mm KUDU™ scale coilover shocks provide precise handling and excellent articulation. Together, the suspension system offers outstanding stability and confidence across challenging terrain.

Trail Performance

The extended wheelbase provides excellent stability on steep climbs, descents, and particularly on sidehills and uneven surfaces. Despite its size, the BRX90 PHAT™ axles provide a generous steering angle that helps maintain excellent maneuverability on tight trails.

A new extended high-clearance aluminum center skid plate, combined with high-clearance suspension links, improves breakover clearance and helps the chassis slide over obstacles with fewer hang-ups. The result is a truck that feels planted on sidehills, stable on climbs, and remarkably agile for a vehicle of its size.

Waterproof Ready

Designed for wet weather adventures, the BRX02 130 is ready for water crossings, muddy trails, and harsh outdoor conditions.

The receiver box is sealed with rubber gaskets to help protect your receiver from water ingress. The kit also includes two PYTHON™ 125Mini waterproof high-voltage aluminum servos, rated IP67, for reliable operation of the 2-speed transmission and selectable transfer case.

To help withstand harsh environments, the axle gears come pre-greased, with additional silicone and black graphite grease included for maintenance and long-term protection against water and corrosion. Stainless steel pivot balls are also included for improved durability and smoother performance in wet conditions.

Simply add your preferred waterproof ESC and steering servo, and the BRX02 130 is ready for water crossings, muddy trails, and year-round outdoor adventures.

Every BRX kit includes a unique pair of classic UK-style license plates matched to a corresponding chassis VIN number. No two vehicles are the same, giving every BRX its own identity from day one and allowing its history to be documented throughout its lifetime.

Register Your Vehicle

Your license plate number and VIN can be registered on the Boom Racing website to activate ownership and unlock vehicle-specific benefits.

Scaletra Integration

Boom Racing has partnered with Scaletra Adventure, a GPS-based scale trail app for iOS and Android. Track trail runs, log adventures, and build a permanent digital history for your vehicle. Your BRX can be registered directly within the app, with vehicle information and activity data synchronized to your Boom Racing account.
