The UpGrade RC Gecko 2.2" Ultra Comp Gecko-Inspired Pin-Style Rock Crawler Tires are built for drivers who demand maximum grip when the trail gets technical. Too often, the difference between clearing an obstacle and sliding off your line comes down to tire traction, which is why the Gecko was engineered for confident crawling across demanding terrain. Featuring an aggressive pin-style tread inspired by the microscopic structures found on a gecko's feet, these tires deliver exceptional control, precise line holding, and reliable grip on slick rock, steep climbs, and loose surfaces. Designed in the popular 5.5-inch size, they offer broad 2.2 crawler compatibility for performance-focused builds.

About the Gecko 2.2" Crawler Tires

Gecko-Inspired Pin-Style Tread

The Gecko's innovative pin-style tread maximizes surface contact and bites into rocks, roots, and uneven terrain for relentless traction. Inspired by gecko foot structure, this tread pattern is engineered for precision crawling rather than momentum-based driving. It provides confident control on technical terrain where traditional tread designs struggle, allowing drivers to maintain their line and tackle obstacles that push ordinary tires to their limits.

Super Soft Compound for Maximum Grip

An ultra-soft, high-grip compound allows the tire to conform closely to surface irregularities for increased traction and stability. This flexible rubber enhances climbing performance, improves low-speed throttle control, and supports precise tire placement across demanding obstacles. The compound works with the tread to deliver smooth, predictable response when navigating hard lines and technical sections.

Stop Losing Lines You Should Be Clearing

A tuned carcass design balances controlled flex with dependable sidewall support for stability during sidehills, steep climbs, and technical descents. Because the Gecko prioritizes maximum performance over scale realism, it is approved only in select competition classes, making it an ideal choice for drivers who want every possible traction advantage. Built for hard lines, the Gecko helps clear obstacles with control instead of speed, offering reliable grip through the toughest parts of the course.
